3D enclosures
Turn a board into a design brief. Measure, prototype and adapt an enclosure for classroom use.
CHOOSE YOUR SPECIALIST STRAND
After the foundation, choose a strand that fits your subject. Eleven modules across seven strands give you room to specialise without completing the whole catalogue.
SEVEN DIRECTIONS
Technology · EGD · maker clubs
Turn a board into a design brief. Measure, prototype and adapt an enclosure for classroom use.
Grades 8–12 · IT · CAT
Move from blocks to Python, then build a logger and an assessed class project.
Coding & Robotics · Technology
Use servos, motors and sensors to build a mechanism with a purpose.
Grades 7–12 · CAT · IT
Use MIT App Inventor to turn a live sensor reading into a simple phone interface.
Science · Geography · space clubs
Explore radio links, antennas and range before setting up a tinyGS ground station.
Physical Sciences · Technology · Mathematics
Compare a simulated flight with measured data, then explore thrust measurement under specialist supervision.
Science · Geography · Technology
Design a balloon payload and develop a two-page proposal for a flight or analogue experiment.
PLAN YOUR PROGRESSION
Complete F1–F6, teach your final lesson and have your foundation portfolio accepted before booking advanced modules.
For MicroPython, radio, rocketry and space missions, take the first module before the second. Different strands can be taken in any order.
Specialist radio, rocketry and flight activities depend on suitable equipment, permissions and supervised facilities. Simulations and bench tests support learning before field activities.
YOUR NEXT STEP
